Tangerang Regency is taking part in the Bloomberg Youth Climate Action Fund nomination.
The Regent of Tangerang Regency is promoting a climate change mitigation program through air pollution control and waste management. From 2020 to 2024, this program involves 103 schools in the Tangerang Regency area. Approximately 30,000 students from elementary and junior high schools under the Tangerang Regency government are encouraged to participate in this program. One of the main initiatives is the eco-enzyme program, which aims to reduce air pollution, manage waste effectively, and improve the quality of water and soil.

PROGRAM MITIGATION CLIMATE CHANGES – “ECO RANGERS” FOR 1 YEAR
Months 1–3
Building the “ECO RANGERS” Mindset for the Younger Generation. Through the eco-enzyme program in schools and beyond, children become Earth Guardians or are directly involved in protecting the environment. They are equipped with their signature tools—sprayers and ecoenzyme liquid—that help improve the quality of air, water, and soil.
Months 4–6
Building Climate Mitigation Bridges in Tangerang Regency Schools—through the biodiversity school program implemented in 103 schools. This project empowers student-led climate action in schools. With mentorship from environmental organization staff and peers from the SEHATI Program, students will design and implement climate mitigation projects tailored to their school communities. Through the curriculum, workshops, and planning sessions, students will develop ideas, set learning objectives, and bring their visions to life—gaining real-world experience and leadership skills while making a tangible environmental impact.
Month 7
A school competition for youth social innovation addressing climate change challenges, innovation, and social impact on the community. Winners of the competition will receive awards from the Tangerang Regency Government.
Months 8–9
Planting bamboo seedlings and other plants to expand green open spaces and riverbanks, while using eco-enzyme as natural fertilizer.
Months 10–12
Evaluation of air, water, and soil quality measurements from the Climate Change Mitigation program involving the younger generation.
SEHATI PROGRAM (SEKOLAH KEANEKARAGAMAN HAYATI)/ BIODIVERSITY EDUCATION SCHOOL
The SEHATI program was initiated in 2020. The list of schools participating in the SEHATI program from 2020 to 2024 is as follows:

Within the SEHATI program, several public junior high schools (SMPN) have developed unique identities and innovations. The specific identities and innovations of each school are as follows:
- Innovation of SMPN 1 Tigaraksa: POC (Liquid Organic Fertilizer) from Rabbit Urine
- Innovation of SMPN 1 Pasar Kemis: EMB (Effective Bamboo Microorganisms) & Aerobic Composter Bin
- Innovation of SMPN 1 Mauk: Hydroponics
- Innovation of SMPN 1 Panongan: Black Rice Cultivation in Bucket Media
- Innovation of SMPN 3 Solear: Trigona Bee (Kook/Klanceng) Cultivation
- Innovation of SMPN 3 Curug: Processing Black Rice into Cereal
- Innovation of SMPN 4 Curug: Trichoderma Cultivation
- Innovation of SMPN 2 Curug: SaniSek Smart
- Identity of SMPN 3 Tigaraksa: Aloe Vera Crackers & Eco Enzyme
- Identity of SMPN 1 Curug: Instant Herbal Beverage
- Identity of SDN Cicayur I: TEJAMAMON (Butterfly Pea Flower, Ginger, Honey, Lemon)
There are two programs directly related to bamboo: EMB (developed at SMPN 1) and Trichoderma (developed at SMPN 4).

EMB (Effective Bamboo Microorganisms) is a mixture of beneficial microbes such as lactic acid bacteria, yeast, and photosynthetic bacteria obtained from bamboo leaves.

Trichoderma is a fungal genus widely utilized in agriculture and environmental applications due to its effectiveness as a biocontrol agent against plant pathogens. Trichoderma plays a crucial role in promoting plant growth, protecting roots from diseases, and facilitating the decomposition of organic matter. At SMPN 4, Trichoderma has been developed from bamboo plant roots and has obtained copyright protection.
